The third time Nancy visits Hilihili Research Facility

The strategy guide says that the third time Nancy goes to visit Malachi Craven, he is sleeping.
Then Nancy found the first page of a clipboard in his coat pocket.
She then goes down to the laboratory and gets the plant sample she needs.
After that, she goes back up to see Malachi Craven who is now awake and she confronts him about the paper she found in his pocket.
This is important in the game.

Except that when I play the game, the third time I go to visit him, he is awake.
I go down to the lockers and I come back. Now he is asleep and I can find the paper in his pocket.
After I go into the laboratory and get the plant sample, I come back again to confront him. But he is still sleeping.
So I can't confront him.

I don't know what to do. I might have to start the game all over again. No joke!

Actually you don't confront Dr. Craven after getting the plant sample from the greenhouse. Go back to Camp Quigley and do the comparison analysis instead with the plant sample.

I thought it was important to the game but it seems it's not.
I found about the confrontation in the strategy guide of Her Interactive page 23.
And I wanted to know what would have been Craven's answer.
Well I'll never know.

I just got it!
I knew it wasn't important to the game but I wanted to confront the infamous doctor.
So I started the game all over again being very careful but not knowing exactly what to do differently.
I have watched some videos on YouTube and in one them I saw the confrontation.
So this time everything happened just the same, the doctor was still sleeping but when I left him, I hear him waking up and then I go back to confront him.
I'm very excited to have succeed doing it!
