Cute little mouse in the cute lil cage

I must be pretty stupid. At least the mouse is still in his house and I don't know how to get him out. I'm pretty new at these games and don't know all the ins and outs as to how to find the clues to figure things out. Can anyone out there help me.

Welcome to the pond okluckylady. Have you tried placing the cheese on the walls and not the path and i laid them back to front so the mouse wont eat it before you place the next piece. Good luck and happy gaming.
