Magic Encyclopedia II

I got all thru the game but when I tried to play it again I can"t get the book to register so I can put it on the shelf. I played it that far The magicians basement and couldn"t go any farther. I signed on in another name deleting the second name I used aand the same thing happened. !! HELP !!
