the device chapter8

can anyone help me with this one??? I can't get the claw anywhere near the crystal. so frustrating!!!

Numbering the buttons on the machine from left.... click them as follows

The numbers worked but now where or how do you get the scroll

Once you take the crystal out of the side of the device put it in the stand that is sitting on the desk at the far right. If you have the clue bubble popped up you can't see the stand. So make sure that you close the clue box. The stand is blue, the same color as the crystal and it looks like the one exactly opposite it on the left side of the table,
