stuck in spider game

I cannot get out of the spider puzzle.

Haven't been able to get the key, even though I know the correct order to pluck the strings...I think... but don't care about that now as I've gotten to this point in the game too soon.

How do I get out of the game so I can move back into the mansion?

I've already saved it so when I return, it plops me right back into the spider puzzle.

Aaaaarrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!

there should be a spot directly above the menu screen at the bottom right hand side of the screen that will turn to an arrow when you move your mouse over it....I know it took me like 5 minutes to figure out how to get out, too.
be careful though, its a tricky little spot and can easily be missed, and you may have to move your mouse around a bit to find it.
