Updated build with Relaxed Mode released.

[Post New]by patwylie on Aug 28, 08 3:38 PM
We have been listening to you regarding the game timer.

We stayed up late last night and worked on a new build for you with a new additional play mode. You now have the ability to play without a timer!

Those who downloaded and/or bought the current version can simply uninstall, re-download and reinstall the new one when it is released with this option.

Thank you for all of your thoughtful feedback!

ENJOY!

Thanks for the news about the relaxed mode Some of us are older and it takes a little more time to figure things out. We love the relaxed mode .It keeps the fun high and the blood pressure low. Thanks

Thank you to everyone at BFG! I am absolutely in love with this game. I have not finished as yet, but have enjoyed it much more than the original Azada. (Thought I might have a nervous breakdown a couple of times with that one.) The fact that your team listens and responds is what makes most of us prefer purchasing games from you, rather than other companies. Thank you also for letting those of us who just couldn't wait and bought this immediately have the option of downloading the new version.

Thanks Big Fish for giving us an option with the timer. I was getting tired of redoing the same puzzle. Enjoyed the game so far, but at the moment am stuck. I was expecting a game more like the original Azada which I really love and play weekly, but this one has a different way of going through the game. Will let you know when I finish if I like it.

It there was a fainting emoticon I would be doing it now. THIS IS AWESOME!!! I can not believe we were heard and changes are implemented as this is so rare these days, and so FAST! I already finished the game but love love love that you are doing this anyway. I will give it a second relaxed go so I can just enjoy the environments and music again without needing to watch my time.

Super huge kudos for this, guys. You roxorz my poodly soxorz!

I am so happy to finally have the new version of Azada!! Have just started the 1st book and finished in 9:42.
The only problem I am questioning is that the cursor, at some points, drags and it takes more time to be able to click on what I want to do. The cursor seems like it is in REAL SLO MO!!

Any advice????

wolfrun, you may need to adjust the cursor speed on your mouse slightly. I've had no issues with this. Have heard a few others that have had similar problem. If it continues, I'd recommend you check with Tech Support. They are absolutely awesome. However, with a major launch, they get tremendously busy so response time is probably 72+ hours.
...good luck.

I can't tell you how happy I am right now! I can play the game! I had to ditch the first Azada because I couldn't deal with the timer. Now at least I can play the new one. Thank you so much!!

Is there any chance that the first Azada could also be patched and the timer removed? Not only do some of us older folks need the extra time, it gives us a chance to enjoy the game more. Developers put so much into graphics that we can't appreciate because we're fighting the clock constantly. I play games for relaxization and enjoyment and do not like being chased by a clock. Simply put two modes into the game and everyone is happy.

Again, thanks for the patch, I can't wait to start this great game!

Thank you BFG for listening to your game club members we really appreciate what you are doing for everyone. I did not finish my last Azada because I could not never finish the robot because it always timed out on me. I am glad that you are going to put another version in which has a timer hopefully I will finish this Azada Ancient Magic game this time. You guys are really on the ball there at BFG thank you again for listening to us.

Adjusting the cursor speed does not work.

A relaxed version would be great. The puzzles are tougher than the first Azada but I am liking it even better than the first game but some of the puzzles have me almost running out of time but I'm not sure I would have it any other way but having the option would be great.

thank you big fish
New forum is really cool!!!

Hi Everyone,

As Pat mentioned above, we now have a new version of Azada: Ancient Magic available on the our website. This new version allows you to play the game without a timer. Customers who have purchased the original version can upgrade to the new version at no additional cost. Please note that it is possible that you will lose any saved progress, profiles and settings in the game by upgrading to the new version.

To get the new version, simply uninstall the game from your computer and then reinstall the game from our website. For instructions on how to do this, clicking on the link below that will take you to a help page article that gives you step by step instructions:

Uninstall / Reinstall a Game

If you have any trouble installing the new version of the game, please contact our Technical Support team. You can contact our support team by clicking here or by clicking on the "Need Tech Support" link at the right of this page.

I just downloaded Azada Ancient Magic on my laptop with XP. I noticed the new "relaxed" mode. Thank you!

I also noticed that the game runs 100% better on my old laptop with Windows XP then it does on my brand new (1 week old) PC with Windows Vista. Since my new PC is working properly and is up to date on everything, I am only guessing here that the game is not compatibly with all PC's that have Vista.

Please (begging here) , can the game be fixed to work on PC's with Vista? My older PC with Vista had other issues & I had the same problems with Cate West, Laura Jones & Women's Murder Club - games running slow & choppy. Those games now work much better on my new PC (not 100% perfect, but lots better). Azada Ancient Magic is the only one that still runs slow & choppy with some glitches (on my PC).

I noticed a lot of other people with the same problem. I am also going to email Tech Support & hope they have an answer. Thanks for checking into that.

I too have just reinstalled the game and it came up without the relaxed mode.
I did it through the main download page, not my purchas history. Is there a difference?
