I hope my method works for you… I discovered I could not pass Magic Valley Level 2 (MV2) unless I redid Magic Valley Level 1 (MV1).
1. On MV1 I first upgraded utilities (electric and water) by $900.
2. Bought property. Built Cherry Lane house and furnished it ($2,800 rent is possible).
3. Waited… while making sure 2 hearts were always in house (it is important to always have at least 2 in case repairs are needed so when they are done you should have 1 left. Have a gift ready to give that house so its hearts are back to 2. Also, if repairs are needed to house and utility at same time, first repair house and have gift ready for it then repair utility.)
4. Bought another property. Built another Cherry Lane house and furnished it.
5. Waited … Bought another property. Built Two Bells house and furnished it (I was able to get $4,700 rent).
6. Waited until I met cash goal for MV1.
7. Just an FYI. I did not do any upgrades to any houses, kept upgrading utilities by $900 when needed, kept monitoring hearts while waiting. Again, if repairs were needed in a house and a utility at same time I always repaired house first. Had a gift ready for it and then repaired utility. Also, I tried to plan it out so houses were close to each other, which helps out in MV2 and other levels. Always get rid of fallen trees a.s.a.p., it sucks when one blocks a repair truck, etc.
8. After meeting cash goal I built a store and immediately bought furniture for Purple Hill house to have ready to use on MV2 (you cannot rent Purple Hill house with furniture that comes with it and you need to rent it first thing on MV2 to help beat MV2). Regarding what furniture to buy for Purple Hill house, I found an easy way to get the maximum amount of rent possible each time was buy a bed, most expensive armoire/wardrobe, most expensive tv, computer, most expensive refrigerator, and washer/dryer. When you go to furnish the house, scroll over until the bed and rest of mentioned furniture is all together. Then place the washer/dryer and refrigerator on green squares of first floor. The bed, armoire/wardrobe, computer, and tv on any yellow squares on first floor and you should then have maximum rent available.
9. With this being said, when I built the store on MV1, I found I could buy 2 of each of the above items and still have enough money left to build the Purple Hill house to meet the last goal I needed for MV1.
10. On MV2 first thing I did was furnish Purple Hill house as explained above.
11. Then collected rent and upgraded electric and water by $900.
12. Then collected more rent so I could build a garage which I built close to houses.
13. From here it pretty much went like is explained below.
14. I kept collecting rent, monitoring houses to ensure at least 2 hearts were in them at all times, bought a few nearby properties and started building additional Purple Hill houses as I could afford them and furnished them to get maximum amount rent possible. Bought furniture from store to furnish additional Purple Hill houses when needed.
15. If I did lose a tenant, I immediately furnished the house again and rented it a.s.a.p. but I always kept closer watch on Purple Hill houses to make sure hearts stayed at 2 at all times.
16. Also, kept increasing utilities by $900 when needed for additional houses.
17. To meet the goal of upgrading 1 Purple Hill house, I waited until 1 offered upgrade of utility and another time I played level I upgraded 1 Purple Hill house very early in game by giving it gifts to force it to do an upgrade.
Sometimes, I did have to replay MV2 once or twice if I ran out of time, but not very often. Again, I hope this helps some…. Happy Gaming.

Thanks Gamerhere
Your precise and well-presented advice did the trick for me on MV-level2. It still took over a dozen tries but finally made it. And now, like others I see here, am having a problem with Orange Hills Lev2.
Thanks again,
Becky

In answer to Craftylady98 question, I would not upgrade garage as this only takes you further from meeting cash goal of $170,000. The cash goal was always the last goal that I met to finish Magic Valley Level 2.
I am sure you will be able to pass this level following the method I provided, it may take a few tries. The key is having all houses close to each other so you can monitor their heart levels more easily. Also, furnishing Purple Hill houses to get maximum rent possible as explained in my method and watching them more closer than the Cherry Hill and Two Bells houses to ensure there are always at least 2 hearts in them at all times in case repairs are needed after which have a gift sitting on the house that is being repaired to give that house as soon as repairs are completed to get heart levels back to 2. Always repair house before utility. If after giving that house a gift and the heart level is only at 1, you just made it in time to prevent the tenant from leaving so give that house another gift to get the heart level back to 2.
Don't get me wrong, you should still try to keep at least 2 hearts in both the Cherry Lane and Two Bells house; however, if a tenant does leave it is easier to furnish these houses to rent a.s.a.p. with the furniture provided than it is the Purple Hill house.
If you choose to wait until a utility upgrade is offered to a Purple Hill house to meet the goal of upgrading one Purple Hill house rather than forcing it to do an upgrade by giving it gifts early on in the level, do not do utility upgrade if there is only 1 heart left in house. I found it was easier for me to force the 1st Purple Hill house on the level to do an upgrade by gifting it early on, as this also increased rent.
Also, be sure to have utitlities upgraded early to allow for next houses to be built and remove fallen trees a.s.a.p.
I hope this helps... Good Luck and Happy Gaming....

I am happy to hear that my method was of some assistance to you. I have seen that others are now having problems with passing Orange Hills Level 2. I will gladly post a method to pass that level, as it will give me a break from trying to get pass Sunny Hills Level 2. Sunny Hills Level 2 is anything but sunny....
Again the key to passing Orange Hills Level 2 is in setting yourself up for success in Orange Hills Level 1.
I will post my method in passing both Orange Hills Level 1 and 2 in two separate posts.
One will be entitled Method for setting yourself up to pass Orange Hills Level 2. The other post will be entitled Method for passing Orange Hills Level 2 after following Orange Hills Level 1 method.
I should have these posted today or tomorrow at the latest, until then Happy Gaming to all...
