stuck in the game

Hi

I'm at world 9 in Nefertiti's tomb and I can't get the door open. I have a sort of cross in my possession and I've tried placing it everywhere but there doesn't seem to work anywhere. Can anyone help?

Hi, and welcome to the Fish Pond. I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly but don't have any notes on this game. I think what you have is called an ankh ( looks like a cross with a loop on top). There should be a wall that has a lit symbol that looks like parenthesis. The anhk goes there.

I checked the wall and cannot find the parenthesis you mentioned. All I see is a lot of symbols around the head of the pharaoh. There are winglike things on the outside of the 2 circles. Is this the screen you're talking about? If so do you have an approximate position of the parenthesis?

Sorry that didn't help. I'm probably not remembering correctly. Like I said, I don't have any notes on this one. I have, however, found a site that has a walkthrough with screenshots. You may find your answer there. Copy the line below exactly and paste it into a Google box and hit enter. Several links will show up. Look for the link that specifies gamezebo and click on that link.

I got the Ankh to place in upper left corner of place where the woman is. There are 4 symbols that alternately light up above that. I've clicked til my finger is sore and can't make anything open. I redownloaded on my XP desktop last night and got that far.

I'm stuck in the same place and spent half an hour literally clicking trying to place that candy cane shaped stick SOMEWHERE. The game is stuck it won't give you a hint, you can't exit and you can't go anywhere. A real badly done game and a total waste of my $$$.

I bought this game and played for about 2 + hours and came to the end - I think! She is getting out of the tomb, her stepbrother is in the dirt and she can't find her case. Everytime I start again it is literally starting over. Is that all there is? That's pretty disappointing.

graveyardog - You have to click on the spots that lit up in the order that they light up. I'm not too great at those kind of puzzles, so I used a piece of paper divided into 4s and jotted down the number that each lit up....ie....if the upper right hand symbol lit up first, I put a 1 in the upper right hand section of paper. Give it another try. The game is kind of short, but fun.

I was on level 9, in Secret Room 2. Placed everything but the Ankh. I could not figure out where to put the Ankh so I clicked on my journal to see if there were any clues there (nope!). When I exited the journal I was outside Secret Room 2 and when I tried to go back in, the lock area (where the Tut head goes) was empty - and I no longer have a Tut head to reopen the room because I have already used it! I cannot get into Secret Room 1 to collect the key again because I have already done that. So I am stuck.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is the only solution to start the whole game again?

Once you enter the room where you enter it by putting the golden mask on the door, you cannot leave it until you complete the room. If you do you will have to start the game over as another player. You cannot ever progress farther with the original player. It is a flaw in the game but as far as I know the developers have chosen not to fix it.

Once you know about the flaw you just have start over as a new player and avoid doing that again. Otherwise it is a good game and lots of fun. Be sure to start again as another player.

This cross is called an ankh. It is placed in World 9 - "Nefertitis Tomb" Secret Room
along with:

1. placing the scarab wings on the back wall
2. placing the fire extinguisher over both lights
3. placing of the piece of stone in the hole on the wall
4. placing the ankh on the lit symbol on the wall inside the parenthesis ( )
