Star Chart won't yield Star Scepter

I went to 2 different walkthoughs and looked at their star chart. I carefully did it but no star scepter came out as promised. I dumped all the stars, went back to the stairs and played with the switch and then did it all over again. Still no scepter. I am 100% positive I have it right. I counted each line, compared mine individually to the two different walkthroughs. Still nothing. I'm at a loss now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Riddle of the Sphinx game.

The stars have to have to all have the same symbol. It looks like a birthday cake with 6 candles. How did you dump all the stars? I must have some wrong symbols because I can't get to work either.
