Has anyone actually finished this game

If anyone has finished then you must know the answer to my discussion on the old glowing stump but no one has replied.

I've cracked the stump and it has been replaced by a tree and I am told that ordinary rain does not make it grow.

I've tried putting people on it but to no avail.

Help please!

Yes I have finsihed My tribe a few times....I am rest arting rt now as my teenage kids dropped my laptop, broke it, and I HAD to buy a new one in order to work.

So---the glowing stump is one of three mystery items I start on island with.

I like to start with fountain of youth, fossil rock, and stump. Because you can make a potion to advance science skill with stump (ironwood) which gets you to building ship and towers much faster.

To solve the stump, you have to have a person with 100 physical strength, then make it rain using fish/sea water/star. Then put a person with agriculture skill on the sapling (just like for new trees). and tree will grow. Click on tree, then on the box to harvest this tree and you will not run out of wood on THIS island.

I've put a tribal legend with 100 per cent skill in everything on to the tree and it still says the ground is too dry, but I don't know what your remark about "the same as trees" means, I've not come across anything that makes trees grow quicker.

I am not sure but think it has to be raining when you put the 100/100 person on the tree. You might have already tried that. Hope that helped.

I was ready to sail to another island, when I had come to the game first thing in the morning, and alas everyone was dead. When I had left them the night before, there was plenty of food, wood and rocks. They died of starvation. How can that be?
Now with my new island, I have planted 4 fields of vegetation, and it disappears as fast as it is growing....What is up with that?

Here is the answer to the Old Glowing Stump. Enjoy!

Old Glowing Stump
1. It’s heavy and something is growing under it.
2. You need a person who is at 100/100 on physical strength to pull the dead stump off. (Stardust will eventually produce physical strength, along with every other increase in skill or you can use the physical strength potion of Rocks+Rain Water+Golden Relics.)
3. Now it needs special magical rain (use potion Fish + Sea Water + Stardust). Be sure to have your strong person tend the plant while it’s raining.
4. It grows into the Ever Tree and produces ironwood, which is much stronger than regular wood.
