why doesn't my game save?

can any one tell me why my game doesn't save? I'm getting fed up with playing and when i exit i'm told my progress has been saved, go back to playing and have to start all over again, most frustrating, especially as the last time it happened was 3/4 of the way through the second level with all the games open,go back to the game and everything was gone..grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I'm having the same problem. VERY frustrating.
