am stuck trying to open the safe

Hi everyone, I like this game but I am stuck at the safe, cannot figure out the combination, can anyone help me?

There's several safes in the game... which one do you mean? Can you describe the level a bit more?

I am also stuck trying to open the safe. The safe is in the room with bookshelves and you look in three books and there are sets of numbers.

I'm stuck as well pinned in 598 and nothing happens.

The last two posters are at two different safes. 598 is the hotel safe. The study safe digits relate to the dates of the books. You know the three numbers - they're ringed - you just have to work out the correct order.

I am stuck on the safe at the bar. No matter what I try, I cannot open it. I feel I have wasted time-about 5nhours all told- an money. If I can't open it, I can't play thr rest of this game. It's been great so far, especially figuring out the different little quirks to get clues to open up.

The safe at the bar is a number puzzle and you are given all the clues you need. The first digit is an ordinal, the second is a cardinal. Does that make sense?
Edit: Remember 1 = 2 means 1st = 2. 1st is an ordinal number, 2 is a cardinal number.
The clue for the second button appears when you replace the broken lightbulb.

I don't understand that when I press 598 the safe does not open, anybody know why?

Are you clicking on the handle after you've entered the numbers?

This is a very good game that has been ruined by this glitch, I cannot proceed therefore I didn't really get what I paid for. I have played other games recently with problems, I think someone at Big Fish needs to deliver games that work.

This isn't a common problem. Click on the green envelope, then click on Contact us for BFG technical help.
You could also try the new build (werewolf fix) just in case.

I'm stuck trying to open the safe in the office where i think the numbers 574 circled in the books on the shelf but I have tried all the combination but nothing is happening

EllenH, did you play the microcassette before you entered the combination?

Toyogirl, the combination is 5 at the top, 7 in the middle, 4 at the bottom. Did you turn the fan off?

Mr Russ yes I put in the microcassette, I'm pretty fed up as I thought this was a very good game.

I am stuck opening the hotel safe too. I did not click on the stop watch at the end of the previous game so maybe that is the reason BUT, how can I go back and fix it? Please don't tell me that I have to start over. I really like this game even with this problem.

5 9 8 (and you must have played the microcassette first), then click on the handle.
If that doesn't work, click on the green envelope for BFG technical help. Some people have reported a bug at this point.

[b]Turn off the fan first, the numbers are 574 and it will open automatically. Just make sure you turn the fan off first.
