Stuck at the Docks - help!

I finally found my way to the docks but I can't find the 'elusive' pylon.

I found the bridge with the C2 underneath but not the 'pylon'.

When I tried the walkthrough, it said walk forward four times and then left but I can't find anywhere that it goes to the left that early from the gate.

Does that make sense?

I can't find the elusive pylon.... can you help

I can get you started.....go forward 4 times from the beginning and turn left, go forward (i think 4 times). you will have to do a bit of walking in this area. sorry, I did not write the solution down

that instruction is utter rubish you cannot turn left after4 paces its trees no paththere is no left turn at all until you cross the bridge then you cannot walk anywhere else

I suggest you go back and try again. Yes, you will walk into the woods-there is no path.

Just a FYI- if you would like people to help, a thank you would be nice instead saying your help is utter rubbish.

sorry to come back again, my cursor stays a red dot at all the locations to the left of the path up to the bridge,can you say exactly what is showing when i turn left,there is just trees ,trees, and more trees.
4 paces &left 2 trrees and sapplings.
please be more specific

From the map-entrance to the docks :~

Move forward 4 times; then move left; then move forward 4 times again; then move right; then move forward 6 times; then move left; then move forward twice; then move right; and finally move forward twice again

hey prplvda! i'm following ur directions but i can't go straight after i move forward 4 times and turn left... am i at the wrong entrance? thanks for your help

Hi lalepops- try going out to the map and then come back in. those are the correct direction. Make sure you arent double clicking. Move your cursor around slowly.

hey again i'm totally stumped... is someone supposed to tell me about this pylon before I can go find it? no matter which way I enter docks it still want let me turn left & walk into the woods.... i know you said click on the woods but is a magnifying glass or something supposed to pop up for me to do this?? if so that does not happen... i just don't get what i am missing... i've gone back to all locations and tried talking to anyone i can! am i missing something from inventory? this is what i have: key to slovdbeirg house, photo of the couple, floor plans, brown key??, clock key, flashlight, pen, index card with squares cut out, order form for the clock, photo of Dietrich Gunter, & map of the docks... help! brr!

If you have not yet combined the map with the index card, you should not even know about the pylon yet- that's why you cant find it. Enter the docks area and combine the map and card. This will lead you somewhere in the docks area. (bridge) Find the clue there.

You're welcome, I hope you are having better luck. Sometimes it's better to say away from the boards, because we get excited to find out about something and kill ourselves looking for it.

Go back to St. Olif's school and you will see the Janitor ouside sweeping. He has an envelope for you with the "strange" post card in it. Go into your inventory and cover the map with the strange postcard and you will hear Carol speak and then you can take your walk into the woods to your pylon. JUJU

Thank you, Iabola23, I finally figured it out! It was putting the code card over the map and playing with that that finally opened the path.
