Level 6 Gold?

I have tried buying things, not buying things, timing different things/plants but I cannot get a gold on level 6 (the one with 3 popcorn buckets)
Does anyone have a hint?

I start out making all four planting spots sunflowers. This way after the first corn is planted I've still got some seeds to process. This helps me be able to continue planting corn without waiting to sell it.

Then I save up for the popcorn machine and buy it as soon as possible and then keep planting and selling excess corn while I wait for the three popcorns to be done. This usually gets me the 1500 that you need. It is very important to buy the popcorn machine early and to continue to plant. This is the only way I've been able to get gold on this level.
