The latest Mah Jong game failed to impress me. You can't change the settings until you've played the tutorial. You can't skip the tutorial, even if you're an old hand at mah jong games. There's a lot of dialog at the start, and you can't skip that, either. You can't change the tile set, but it's clear enough for this not to be a problem, unlike some games I've played.

The story is that your fiance has disappeared and you have to search for clues as to what happened to him. Apparently there are match 3 mini games as you progress, but I didn't get far enough to find them. There are also 'mystery challenges', a selection of mah jong boards to be solved with objectives for each board - points scored, artifacts found, the usual things.

The graphics are OK, gameplay straightforward. You have power ups that become available the further you get into the game. What put me off (after less than 15 minutes) was the unachievable objectives. I only got two stars on the second level, so I played it again. The 'bonus objective' was to complete the game in 0 seconds. I thought this was because I was only allowed one shot at three stars, but no. The next level had the same bonus objective - complete the level in 0 seconds. This has to be an error on the developer's part. I'm not happy that a game was released with so obvious a mistake.

I was hoping I'd like this game, but a flaw that stops players getting three stars makes it a 'no buy' for me.

What a confusing game!
how can you move the tile over to the help thingee?
It also took me ages to discover how to exit !!!
not a buy for me (and I love mah-jong)

Re the zero seconds thing - I got that too, but when I closed it out and went back the next day I got a 'reasonable' number of seconds - 200, 290, 310, it varied - on the different boards that had the time limit for that third star.

I was so excited about this game. Finally, a challenging mahjong game with a decent story. Now I am sorry that I spent the money on it. I made it through the first level but have been playing the first game of the second level for 3 days and now give up. It is impossible to progress unless the probability increases of a certain lay of the tiles. I'm bored and angry and do not recommend it. Are they kidding, zero seconds to complete? But, as always, I advise you to try it yourself.

I have reached a certain level and can not progress any further. It is impossible because the meter resets every time. Without some kind of power-ups or something to help, it is hopeless. Please provide an update to this game so that we can finish!

some levels are UN-PLAYABLE !!! never be able to pass the billiard room even after 50 tries! trashcan for me!

I agree Can't move on no crystals no finish can't get artifacts as they seen to come up at the bottom of the pile and run out of moves before hand Very disapointed but will have to give up 4 days trying is enough guess I won't be buying another Maj jong To bad as I enjoined them

This is an extremely hard game, but I've hung in there. I'm finally in chapter 6. I just kept at the mystery challenges until I get enough points, relics & bonuses to use as energy & go to another chapter. Very hard game, that i'm hooked on, but I love it. So it is solveable; (sp?), I just keep playing.

Whew, I finished the game, got all of Charles diary pieces, & got to the end of chapter 6. Yes, this is an extremely hard game, but fun & enjoyable. If it were too easy there'd be no challenge to it.

You are right it is hard but I also hung in an just finished the game
