GAME NOT SAVING!!

I've only just bought this game, getting lots of crops and some cows, when I shut the game down and opened it up later, the game has gone back to the beginning again!!! This has happened twice now. Why is it not saving what i've already got. I'm dissapointed to be honest and feel i've wasted my money!!
