Hat Street 3

This is my last blue level. Any tips?

I've just gotten silver on this one, with 4:34, so I'm sure with some tweaking/ diligence/ luck, I can pull off gold in a few more attempts. Here's what I did:

As soon as the level starts, sell 2 cows. Catch the bears that drop and store one in the warehouse. As soon as the car returns, upgrade the warehouse as far as you can, store the other bear and as much milk as you can grab. Upgrade the car twice. Send the car off with the bears and 2 more cows (leaving you with 6). Your cows are worth 30k, so keep selling bears and milk until you have 35-40k, then sell all your cows to buy an ostrich. Immediately send the plane for 6 hats, and when it returns, send it back for 6 bolts of fabric. Keep producing fans, hats and dresses as your ostrich drops feathers. Sell dresses and any bears you've collected as soon as you can, and buy another ostrich every time you have 70k.

The production machines DO work faster with machine-gun clicking, and this could certainly help get the money you need sooner, while you wait for your ostriches to drop more feathers. But beware of over-clicking the buildings; if you do it too much, they explode and you have to buy them again. Good luck!

I've gotten gold here but it's one of the only levels that I can't beat the best time . . .

Sell off two cows, trap the polar bears, max out warehouse, buy water, collect bears and milk, feed cows, upgrade truck twice and send it off. Now you can breathe for a second. I usually buy a cat at this point to make sure I don't miss a milk. Max out the truck, selling milk and bears until you can sell off cows to get the first ostrich. You should have a few thousand left from incidental sale of milk and bears to upgrade the plane twice to buy 5 hats and 3 dresses. Figure out what you need to get your second ostrich and make it--usually a dress and either a feather or a hat depending. Calculate out like this to get the third ostrich as well. As you get ostriches, you'll have plenty of feathers to sell, so sell off what you've got to get the next one fast. It's still pretty tight, but you should finish somewhere around 4:20-4:25

Here's the technique:

Sell one cow right on the start.
trap out bears, and wait for truck to return
fill out the well, buy a cat, and upgrade the warehouse to full.
Your milks will start disappearing if you don't do it quick enough, so help the cat to catch all the milks.
milks disappear quickly, and cows need a lot of grass, so the cat will take care of the milks, you should make sure the grass is always green.
upgrade the track once (you don't have money yet for more), and sell milks.
when track returns, upgrade it to full, and sell milks.
make sure you trap and sell all bears, so they don't distroy your houses.
on about 1:10, you should have about 20k.
sell all the cows you have. with this 50k + some milks on the way, you should have about 72k which is enough to but an ostrich - do it.
I bough the first ostrich on 1:28.
now it's much more quite on the farm. buy 3 hats + 3 sheets.
wait for first feather.
Since you don't have much to do right now, make yourself handy and fast click the houses to boost their performance.
on the first dress, you can't buy anything, you will have only 62k. don't worry, since this will cover with next four dresses the ostrich costs.

If you boost enough the houses performance (don't blow them up!), you should get it done easily below the 4 minute.

thank you! did it in 4:06 your walk through was right on...had to do it a couple of times to get the hang of it, but it was perfect. i bought 4 hats and 4 bolts of fabric just to make it faster for me.

Great method

Only thing i can say is get your second ostrich out quick and the extra feathers allow you to buy your last out of five with 2 feathers 1 fan 1 hat depending on how much you have left

The reply left by annomous was right on the money. I got it the first time I followed his/her directions. I had thought it was impossible. It was my last level on to be gold on. I printed off the directions. Hit menu if you need time to think - it stops the clock. I actually got best time on the level as well at 4:00! And I thought it couldn't be done. Who figures these things out? Now I have to find a new game. Any suggestions?
