I really like this game, the fairy puts me in the mind of tinkerbell how cute, there are plenty of hints available. I also like the fact that it talks plus there is words if you do not want to have sound on. The graphics are good, clear scenes. You have places inside rooms that you have to search as well and they are found when your cursor turns into a magnifying glass. Mini games are good so far, there is a marble popper, gears, match the constellations, play notes on a piano, I am not sure what other types there will be the further you get into the game, but the puzzles are skippable. Like the story very nice, just like in a fairy tale. I only played 25 minutes of the demo and purchased it.

I give this game a

eta: I do hope there is a walk through for this game

I am so with you and that --- blankety blank --- fairy

I loaded the game and saw that it was a Gogii and thought fantastic, I their games and then I met the --- blankety blank --- fairy. Well I am seeing does she have to scatter them everywhere when she picks an object up, there are too many of them and they have hurt my eyes. To me this spoils the game and is totally unnecessary. Glad there are words so i can play with the sound off as I found the pitch of her voice a bit annoying too.

I will buy this game because apart from that fairy it is a good game but it will take me forever to complete because I will only be able to play it a few minutes at a time unless anyone knows how to turn all those stars off says she hopefully.

I agree with others that get annoyed with the fairy. I am kind of getting used to her squeaking though.

The gameplay is fun searching the rooms for the mirror and puzzle pieces.
Graphics average.

Cute game.

Yes, the fairy's voice is annoying, but you can turn it down/off. Everything she says appears as text, AFAIK, so you don't lose anything.

This is a great game. There are hidden objects and mirror pieces to find, and interesting puzzles to add variety.

Just one thing, something I've said in a number of posts: Where's the walkthrough?

Well I've just played through from start to finish. Two excellent IHOGs in two days.

For the most part, it's an excellent selection of Hidden Object scenes and puzzles - even one or two puzzle types I haven't seen before (or new variations on an old classic). Most of the items are easy to find, once you get into the flow of the game, and some of the puzzles are challenging without being 'difficult'.

Hints recharge very quickly, the few times I used them - and I usually kicked myself for not seeing the item once it was shown. On the flip side, if you are stumped on what to do next, the hints aren't always very helpful. That said, the map is a nice idea, as is the option to 'fast-travel' to the mirror room when you have all the pieces, and then return to where you were. The other thing I noticed is that it doesn't keep track of what you've seen already - for example, the fairy told me an urn would be good to put fireflies into... when I hadn't even seen any fireflies yet. I did like the way sometimes you didn't know what to be looking for in a scene until you'd discovered more information (although in one scene, it wasn't obvious how to get the ingredient list).

The music seemed to be in keeping with the theme, and although some people didn't like the fairy's voice, I thought she was cute - especially the 'Yaaaaaaaay!' that she occasionally says when you cleanse a room. On the other hand, the ghost sound effects got on my nerves in a few rooms - though you banish them soon enough, having them continually moan as you are collecting potion ingredients in a hidden object scene can be annoying.

I should warn everyone that the last two puzzles are slightly different. The penultimate puzzle has an arcade element (marble-popper variation - and new marbles are added over time). The final one is a kind of 'Hidden Object Battle', where you are trying to find your own list of items in the scene, while the witch is trying to gather her own. It wasn't 'difficult', but it was a bit of a sudden change of play-style.

Oh, and last but not least, I wish they'd passed the text to a proof-reader. Apparently the Princess is heir to the 'thrown'.

Anyway, well worth my credit. I haven't yet tested it for replayability, but the Hidden Object scenes seem to have extra items in them as well, so it's possible the search lists will vary slightly on replay (if not a huge amount of change).

Anyway, just my hap'orth,

Elkestra

I thought it a beautiful game, very innovative. But I won't be buying because at times the cursor moved incredibly slowly and that always worries me a bit! Fairy very irritating. But great graphics and I liked the story.

in the first marble popper game, I start out with green, the color never changes from green, the when I eliminate all the green marbles, the center area ( from where the marbles are launched ) goes gray. I never got to shoot red, yellow or blue marbles.

Is this a glitch or am I doing something way stooopid??

HELP!!

Invisi-text below (since this is the review thread):

You won't be able to fully play the marble popper puzzle until the end of the game - you'll collect 3 more marbles in your wanderings through the palace.

[Edited to invisi-text the answer.]

Very good game. The fariy is annoying at times. But all in all good. When do you know when to get the last 2 marbles? Is there a walkthrough?

Invisi-text below, since this is the review thread:-

You'll find the marbles as you progress. The last one is given to you, so it's not possible to 'finish the marble puzzle too early'.

It's been answered in several other threads in the forum, but:- (highlight below to view)

On the left hand side of the rock-wall there's an area you can examine closer. You need to use the 'break' power on it to knock chips off to reveal items to search for under the bridge.

I was stumped here breifly too. It's not obvious that there's another place on the wall to look, since most of it just tells you it'll need a potion to fix.
