Jewel Craft blurry screen on different levels

The screen goes blurry and sort of freezes up when I am almost done with the level. Except for the prompts (exit or return to game etc.) which still work but you can't read them and when you finally get out it doesn't save what you have done. I have to start over. Happened with level 11 and now with 16. With level 11 it happened several times before I was finally able to get through the level. Am I the only one having this problem? HELP!!!
