How do you defeat hook?

I am literally running in ciricles while he dances up on to of the thing. Nothing is happening. What am I supposed to do?

I did that whole running around too the first time I played this one. Took me quite a while to figure it out.

You have to keep ahead of the guy with the hook, but you need to pause and push the wheel a little each time. Keep an eye on the guy and you will be able to tell when he is ready to throw the hook. As soon as you see that he is going to throw it, jump, run to get a little ahead and start pushing again. Keep repeating this until you turn the thing in the middle so high that he has to leave.
