finding the pylon

please may i speek to anybody who has found the pylon and discuss how because the walkthrough will not work not even the answer given by the forum,please

From the map-entrance to the docks :~

Move forward 4 times; then move left; then move forward 4 times again; then move right; then move forward 6 times; then move left; then move forward twice; then move right; and finally move forward twice again
