I believe I have done everything but the rectors won't tell me about the secret garden. Any ideas?

Try talking to the station master. Seems like he did most of the talking about the garden to me. You could also try the proffesor

Pester the rectors, the Paleontologist, the Station master until the plot unfolds, ask about the "Sauvignon" :-)

Loved this game - but couldn't have done it without a walkthrough! Good luck!

Hey, Christine, welcome to the forums! I'm afraid I have forgotten exactly how to do the locks, but there is a thread farther on in this forum that does a good job of explaining it. It is titled "canal lock".

Hope it helps & good luck,

Kate

ETA The thread is at the bottom of this page. There is another one called "lock for the boat", & it is on page 17.

Purchased both games several years ago (probably close to $20 each at the time). Ouch! Replayed them now and they are still a favorite. So beautiful. I needed a walk through, but don't care as I just enjoyed the journey.

Only criticism is that there is a LOT of walking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Double clicking will get her to run, but it is still a lot of running back and forth.

The secret garden is on the far side of the bridge/walkways,(opposite the university area). You follow the station master through most of this and he opens a door for you and you keep going until you see some berries.
