the device in chapter 8

I cannot find the correct sequence to pick up the crystal can anyone help

I am not sure if it is the same every time. And it has been a couple of weeks since I played. I think I did like 3 to the right, 2 or 3 down (to pick it up), and 3 or 4 to the left to drop it in the hole. You might need to adjust these numbers some to pick up the crystal in your game. If 3 to the right doesn't get you to the crystal, or past it, add or subtract to get it to the right place. Then keep repeating the sequence until you get there. Good luck, Janet

really stuck on the device, can pick up crystal but don't know the moves to get it back to chute. Help please

There are 6 buttons that control the claw that needs to pick up the crystal. Press them in this order.

1st button - 2 times
2nd button - 3 times
5th button - 2 times
3rd button - 4 times
4th button - 1 time
2nd button - 1 time
6th button - 1 time
Then press the green button to activate the claw.
