cradle of rome not saving my game

does anyone know how you get the game to save as i have told it when it comes up to save but it doesnt seem to

It does not save at the level you are at always. If you are out of lives, then it will send you back to the last complete section of the game. For instance...when I started to try for Olympus, I wa at level 83. The next achievment is at level 100. I got to level 98 5 times and ran out of lives having to start over at 83. But I finally got it. You just have to perservere.

Have you made sure that you have unlocked the game? I had the same issue. Everytime I would close the game and go back in, it would ask for a new user name and my previous profiles would disappear. I unlocked the game from the Start Menu (All Programs, then scroll the Cradle of Rome files). There is an option to unlock the game. If you have not clicked on that, then your game is locked and will not save. Once you have clicked on that, it will tell you that you have successfully unlocked the game and it will save from then on. I even restarted my computer to make sure. When I started the game up this time, my profile was there. I hope that this helps you. I was getting a bit frustrated myself. Good luck.

Did you buy your game as a piece of software or did you purchase a download from Amazon?

I purchased mine as a download and I'm wondering now if that is part of why I'm having so much trouble with the tossing me back down several levels..
