The Shovel==again

Under blackbeard's secret treasure section sandy beach USVI you are to dig in certain places. well i seem to be done but the shovel is still in "items found" isn't it suppose to go away when you're done? all of the other items are gone in all the other sections. i cant seem to end the game unless the shovel goes away===someone plz help ty
