Not sure If It's Me Or the Game

The Gates of Good and Evil with Laura Jones and the Secret Legacy of Nikola Tesla hardly seem to be the same Laura Jones series.
My characters do not have voices, only captions....(maybe this is how the game was made, but the Tesla one they had voices)
When I start the game and get to the 'blue void' it doesn't go away, just hangs, but the music is there.... restarted the game and the blue void part goes faster, but now that I'm at the part to feed the cat the same fish he has in his lap, well he stopped meowing, but keeps taking fish and it just won't go to another screen. Yes, I am feeding him the same color fish he has in front of him and I even tried to just get that fish pointing in the same direction.....
I have never had this happen before with any other hidden object game. Tell me someone please what I am doing wrong or if you think it might be the game
