How to save the Levels |

I am playing sherlock Holmes The Mystery of the Mummy. I having a problem picking up where i left off, i have to start the game over again.. I save the levels
but i never get back to the spot where i left off...i was in the Library and i cannot pick up the Blue Book what am i doing wrong....HELP |
