Hello jingles and nocturnalrites,

There is a way to get the game working, the problem is it needs admin rights on the first launch. I imagine both of you are using Vista or Win7, if not please tell me. If you are using either of those, the below will get the game working if you installed it to the default game manager location for games.

if you are running a 32 bit version of windows:
1. Open a run command window by pressing the "Windows Key" and "R"
2. Copy and paste the following into the run command window:

elevate "\Program Files\Word Wizard Deluxe\Word Wizard Deluxe.exe"

3. Select Continue on the User Account Control Prompt

if you are running a 64 bit version of windows:
1. Open a run command window by pressing the "Windows Key" and "R"
2. Copy and paste the following into the run command window:

elevate "\Program Files (x86)\Word Wizard Deluxe\Word Wizard Deluxe.exe"

3. Select Continue on the User Account Control Prompt

if you have installed the game into a non-default location (outside of Program Files), replace the "Program Files" in the above with the custom install location. Hope this helps.

Ok, sorry I realized that trick only works if you install a program from MS called "Elevate Command PowerToy". Its an awesome bit of software, but not really user-friendly (it's installer isn't anyway). I think it's bundled with with some driver software, so the above steps work if you're "lucky" enough to have the same hardware as I. There's another way to make it work from the search bar though, I'll see if I can figure it out.

ok, I think I figured out the easiest way to fix this on Vista and win7

1. open the start menu
2. copy and paste the following into the search bar

C:\Program Files\Word Wizard Deluxe\Word Wizard Deluxe.exe

3. Press Enter to launch the game (the script error will still display)
4. Close the game
5. open the start menu again
6. start typing C:\Program Files\Word Wizard Deluxe (the previous entry should show up in the search field above the search bar)
7. Right-Click on the search entry for word wizard deluxe and select the option "Run as administrator"
8. Select "Continue" on the User Account Control prompt that displays

And it should be fixed, the above steps also only work when its installed to the default game manager location and if the hard drive you use is the c: drive on your machine. Change the path accordingly if your setup is different.

Thanks Word Dudely! I was getting that error message as well and decided to turn off the permission thing under User Accounts in Control Panel of Vista. Worked like a charm! Thanks for mentioning the admin rights!
