Help please! How do you get the parts for the hammer

I have gotten stuck in the same place twice tonight. I am in Africa and have all the items from outside the teepee except the last part of the mineral salt. Inside the teepee I need the last part of the mall hammer. I have my wood at the bridge. Each time I ask the game for help the items are either hidden, or I have everything and to figure it out.

I have never used the forum before, and I am a little nervous about all the responses. I sure hope I can find mine and the answers.
I tried to just skim the info in the individual forums so that I don't pick up information that is ahead of me. I like the challenge, and in one post someone said "put the hammer down first, then the wood."

Nice to know there are so many gamers out there. I really love BFG and have been a member for almost 2 years.

Cml, welcome to the Fish Pond. Do you have chalk in your inventory? Use it to draw the mouth on the mask. Solve the puzzle, The mouth will spit the salt onto the tree.
....The thistle, salt, crushed tooth, and coconut go in the cauldron and the spoon is used to stir it. Use bellows to start fire. Solve the puzzle on the cloth and the last piece of the hammer will appear.

Thanks I finally got through that part and have moved on. It is great to have someone be the safety valve for the game and to have the answers also. Lots of fun on this site.
