Help, can find flashlight, ribbon, hammer. wher are the batteries and key?

You need to go into the next room with the flashlight, and find the on/off switch. Then there should be a hammer in your inventory? Find something to use that on and you should find the key. Use the key on the locked cabinet in the first room.
