Fox & Geese - Won against Bill but got no key

Is there a certain order of which corners to trap the fox in to win? I beat Bill by trapping him in the fox corner, but no light came on, no key, etc.

I've watched the YouTube clips, but even the game piece looks different. In my game (Senior Detective) the fox piece is black with a red fox. Is there a different help section for Sr. Detective?

Please help! I want to finish the game!

I'm not sure exactly where you are in the game, but are you in the tunnels and now trying to play the fox and geese game to open up the tunnels? If so, you need to trap the fox in all 4 corners of the game board except you need to use the pig disk.

I think you have to get all four corners...I can't get one!!! Shouldn't you be using the pig head?

The fox and geese game took me hours to complete. You have to develop a strategy of how you want to trap the fox in the corner. Use the geese to protect the other geese and use them as a blockade for the fox.

Hey Julesy-- I'm still stuck on this! (I took a few weeks off Nancy Drew so I could actually get some work done!) I've got all the pieces now, but I can't seem to win in the pig corner. I understand the Fox & Geese strategy, and twice I had the perfect setup to sacrifice a few pieces to corner him, but he doesn't take the bait! And the youtube tutorials are for Jr. Detective (they have 2 more pieces than I have in Sr. Detective). Do you know if there are Sr. Detective tutorials? I ended up starting over on Jr. figuring it would be easier.

No, I'm sorry, I never heard of a sr. level tutorial. I know just playing with Bill at the beginning of the game is supposed to give you enough practice to make you think about a strategy for trapping the fox.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you how I did it. I just worked methodically. I would move one goose, stopped and think about where my next move would be. I guess it's similar to chess and you have to think of what the consequences of your move will be. It took me a long, long time to win. This is one part of the game I truly did not like.

Have to agree- Fox and Geese is definitely the one downer to this game. I've got the wolf and racoon corners done, but still can't get the pig and moose. I've put in several hours, and I'm sure I'm going to be at this for several hours more. Grrrrr.

I take it you're doing this on the Senior Detective level? I share your pain!
