The issue is that no matter where I exit and then quit the game when I launch the game again and agree to "Continue" playing where the game saved for me, it takes me to the last level "Crime Scene". The map also shows that I've been to all the other levels.
So effectually I can't play the game in multiple sessions and don't intend to play from start to finish in one session. A little help from BFG would be nice or my credit back. Thanks.

I'm certain that we can get this fixed. It may take a little while, especially since this was discovered right before the weekend. But, I know that we will do what we can to get this resolved as quickly as we can.

My apologies..I thought it would take a little while to get a fix, but I was very wrong. We now have a new Mac version of Steve the Sheriff available now. This new version should correct the error with the game skipping to the end. You can find out more here:

Happy gaming!

stargirld wrote:Okay, I reinstalled the new release of the game. I started over from the beginning. I got a little ways into the game, then exited. Now when I go back it has me start over from the beginning! This is just as bad as starting at the end. So the "patch" isn't very helpful in my case. Anyone else have this issue?
That's happening for me, too -- it doesn't appear to be saving the game at all.

This is happening for me too, I'm always taken back to the Sheriff's Office and have to start again. I'm also confused because when I click on the cigar to get a hint, nothing happens that I can see except that the cigar burns down, but no hint shows up that I'm aware of. Does anyone know what to look for with the hint???????

I just downloaded this game for Mac, and was frustrated about how the cigar hint is supposed to work. Amazingly, I found a site where you could play the game for a little while in your browser, and discovered that what is supposed to happen is that smoke from the cigar floats out to a hidden object and then encircles it. In the Mac version, as you all know, all that happens is that the cigar burns to the end and no hint is given.
This is also a major glitch that will probably mean that I will wait to buy the game. If this and the continue problems are fixed, I will gladly buy this game, it looks no ends of fun.
