chapter 2 science lab

Help please, I cannot get to the lens, which I think is in the locked cupboard, but I cannot find a key, or how to open the cupboard. I have found everything else,and done what I could ,but need the lens to finish. I am on my fourth attempt, and getting very frustrated. Please somebody help me, before I go completely nuts.
