I've lost all that work?!?! Noooooo!

In my quest to win all the trophies, I was 7 votes away from winning the election when I thought I give the sandbox disaster trophy a go. I saved my game every 20 mins or so like I usally do and I got the trophy! When I tried to go back to my main town I realize that I've saved over my main town game and it's gone! There's no "back to town" button like in the side quests so now all that time is wasted and I have 21/24 trophies.

Does anyone know of any magic trick to get it back?
