Please help!

I gave Emily the silk sheets and needles ages ago but since then she seems to have been knitting and and isn't speaking at the moment. I've been advised by the judge to either get to the mainland (parachute) or signal - it's about chapter five. Vera is spending a lifetime choosing a book in the library so i can't attempt the secret room and Emily isn't parachute sewing so WHAT di i do now. PLEEEEESE HEEEEEELP!!!!!!!

not sure i can help since i am one chapter earlier... but i read something somewhere about giving emily apple juice. maybe that will trigger her? don't know if this is the right context, though.
