There should be a Syberia 3 for the PC next year. There's a discussion about this on the Syberia 2 forum and more detailed information on the Microids website.

Thank you soooo much, gojojogo, for this little piece of wisdom! Being new to games that require manual saves, I just couldn't get the game to save and thought it was a game problem. I restarted I don't know how many times after trying to save and couldn't get anywhere. Would save a lot of headaches if it was explained somewhere. Is this a normal mechanic for games that require manual saving?

The same thing happened to me after I placed the egg in the appropriate place on the automaton door and got the $100 from the rectors. Screen went black. I had been playing about two hours...NOT happy either. Of course it was not saved. I just don't believe I have the time to go back so far and start again. Warning, save your game many, many times as you play.

That's a great idea but I find that I get so involved in the game, I forget to save. Fortunately, once I got past my initial problems, I've been lucky that the game hanging is usually shortly after I've saved so I don't have much to redo. It's such a great game, I wish the developers could fix these problems.

Besides crashing every other time I play, I've had audio problems. The music and cellphone break up all the time; intermittent sound like a bad connection.

I've updated my Soundblaster PCI128 driver; also have Logitech Surround 5.1. Win XP with IE8; NVidia GeF FX5200.

Anybody have a suggestion?

I did not have a single problem with this game when I played it on my laptop. I have Vista home premium & IE7. The game froze once, I think, on my pc, but I think it might have been Trend. Not sure if this helps or not. I have seen people having black screens in several parts of the game, but I haven't heard of your situation, so you might want to contact CS & see if they can figure it out.

Good luck,

Kate

I too have had problems with it crashing and going to black after I retrieved the egg. I don't need to update anything on my pc. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,Sparrowhawk

Hi sparrow! There is a thread called "blank screen" on page 17 of this forum. I think it will help you out.

Good luck,

Kate

----------------------if you go to a site called iwin--(NOT iwon) it will let you get the game. you get the whole game, the only down part is that it has ads from sponsers that pop up periodically. i played the whole game and the ads weren't that bad.

I own both Syberia and Syberia 2 and they are very good games but I'm sad what happens to Oscar and his maker Hans. I kind of cried at the end of the second one but I'm also very sad that they won't release another one in this series
I still like it cause it teases you with puzzles and riddles and it keeps you thinking and guessing what's going to happen next.

I'm glad you enjoyed these games-they are my favorites! I was also sad at what happened to Oscar, Hans, & the train. (I worked so hard for that train in the first game!) But, there IS another game in this series coming out in June.

Hi, Starblader. The announcement from Microids about Syberia 3 came out on 1st April this year - and no-one believed them. They had to put out a follow-up press release a few days later.

Syberia 3 is not an April Fool's joke. The game is highly expected by the community of fans of adventure games and fans of Kate Walker and it will be launched, it is one of our most strategic projects at Microïds and we have been anticipating it for a long time.

It will be released on PC for sure, however, on PS3, this could actually turn into an April Fool’s joke because SONY is the only decision-maker on this point, as strange as it may seem to some people.
