spoken to online chat - they are 'working with mac specialists' to get it fixed.

apparently, they will email me with the steps to sort it by the end of the day.

Thanks, Vikki and Dorothy, for posting this status. Big Menongahela, is there any way that you can build some kind of status from tech support into these strings? There are currently 18 of us with exactly the same crash point (and not a single Mac review of the game which may be because none of us can play it). I know I've sent in my Dr. Felix and it looks like others have, too. I think your tech support people are great -- but as users, we have no sense of whether one person is working the problem or it's scattered among all of them and whether there's a target for getting it fixed. Presumably they're having to take time to answer 18 different users, some of whom have received more information than others, instead of having one Tech support post that says something like "We're aware of the crash issue at xyz point in the game; we currently have X Dr Felix's and could use (or don't need) more; we're in contact with the developer (or we think we can find a work around on our own) and will update here as soon as we have a projected fix date".
Seems it would save all of us time and angst.

Weeeelllll... I guess I should've read the technical problems reports here before purchasing.

I just loved the game so much during the trial that I purchased and now Kaboom! It just crashes. It happened when I tried to chase the gardener after he ran from the rec room. And now the game won't restart (just quits immediately).

So I made sure my Flash was up-to-date. That my system was up-to-date (it is-- Mac Lion with oodles of disk space and 5GB o' RAM). Then tried to re-download the game and got a new and special error message: Error 769. And a link for more info, cool.

Went to the web page and that page says if you are a mac user then you should contact customer support. Sigh. Thought I'd look here to see if any others are having the same problem (and report mine in case others are looking).

At this point, I can't even install the game.

Too bad-- as it's one of the best I've played. I hope they fix it and then report it here when they do.

Hi all -- I see a lot of posters here who have never posted in the Mac Forum. Please come join the fun! Please share at our forum what you learn from tech support about this issue too. I can assure you that with this many people reporting the same issue, will be on the case!

One thing is for sure-- Mac games have fewer issues than PC games, but they do happen. So you buy games and happily go play without looking around. The Mac Forum here is a very friendly place to share all about games and the Mac and even stuff in general.

Just go to Forums Home / Mac Gamers. See you soon!

Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a couple of suggested articles that have helped solve some common problems with games in the past:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Game Compatibility

While we can offer a known solution for technical issues in the Forums, or other tech savvy pond residents can swim by with good tips and suggestions, we cannot provide the same excellent level of support provided by our Customer Support team.

The Forums are not very well suited for the kinds of information gathering and troubleshooting that get these types of issues corrected quickly.

If there is a problem with the game, our Support Team can also gather necessary information on what types of computers are being affected by the problem and deliver this information to the developer for a fix.

If you are not able to get a game working properly using our Help pages, please get in touch with our Customer Support team, you can find a link to contact our Support team on the front page of our Help pages.

*Please reserve this thread for tech issues only. If you are seeking game play assistance (i.e. hints and tips), the best thing to do is to start a new thread in the game's Forum by clicking on 'Create New Discussion.'

Hi Fishies,

For those dealing with the crashing issue, thanks for your patience while we look into this issue. We'll keep you updated in the Forums if we get any more information. In the meantime if you'd like to work with a Customer Service rep with your purchase definitely don't hesitate to get in contact with them. This will help us better track issues as well.

How to get in contact with Customer Support

lynettewa, for freezing I would also get in contact with our Support team. The link on how to do that is above. In the meantime I would check out this help article here:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen

It goes over a few tips on how we've cleared this issue up in the past.

I hope this helps!

Hi Fishies,

I just wanted to swim in here and let you know that we just released an new Mac version of this game that address the progression block issue that many of you were experiencing.

You can read more about how to get the update in the post I've created here.

If you run into any trouble with the game even after getting the update, please continue to post in this thread so we can keep track of those issues and get you help ASAP.

Thank you!

Well, I guess I bought this game on the right day (mac user and no freezing in that place where others have had issues). BUT - like a couple of others, some very weird things are happening when I play the mini puzzles. First, in the Egyptian circles stories, I started to click the circles to switch them around and they just disappeared one by one as I clicked them. Then I noticed a hand appear in some empty circles so I clicked and a circle showed up somewhere else. I had to skip the game (which I HATE doing) because the game was so wonky. Next, in the switch connecting game, I too was left without one piece to complete the game (and I checked the strategy guide - I had it perfectly) because the first piece I clicked on... disappeared! Just gone, like the other game. I skipped this one too and headed into the Egyptian area. I was in a room where there is a box somewhere backstage and although for just a second a hand appeared, when I clicked to pick up the object, it stopped and now I can't pick it up and obviously I'm going to need that object so what do I do now? I get so frustrated when I contact customer service because even though they try to be helpful and we go through the diagnostic etc it's NEVER my computer. It's always the game and I always have to reinstall and start the game over again. This has happened with 4 games. I feel very strongly that if a customer is not satisfied with a game, they should not give you the reinstall line and just return your money.

I'm having the same issue a number of others have reported. I can't use the compresser nozzle on the bones in the tent interior scene. I have gone back through the walkthrough and have not missed any previous steps, but now I'm completely stuck. It's taken me 5 hours of play to get this far, and I'd rather not have to reinstall and go through it all again (even if I cheat and use the walkthrough, it will still take several hours to go through all the scenes again.)

I purchased the game after the "update" was made available, so I assume I got the corrected file. Is there ANYTHING I can do to get past this?

The game cannot be completed without the cord, and I'm not about to start all over.....

EXACTLY! So frustrating. I didn't grab the power cord and now I can't. Is this a glitch? I'm so nearly done and I've really enjoyed this game but to be so close to finishing and then not being able to is really annoying.

Help please?
