Not sure what you mean about it not working. You put it by the hose nearest the sandbox, and then drop an adult on the bucket there until he/she gets the right task. They'll add water and carry it to the wall and start, but like the floor repair you have to keep them on it several times. Also, persistently, because I have heard it will dry out and you'll need another kit if you don't.

Before doing this, though, you need to have fixed the other leaky hose out back.

If you stay on it, one kit fixes the whole wall.

how do you fix the leaky hose out back? When my little people try to use it, it says not enough water pressure, I bought the tape for leaks and dropped it next to the hose but now when i put my little people near it to fix it, it says too much water pressure!! I'm confused lol!

have someone turn on a faucet to get a drink or take a shower or something like that, then drop someone to repair the hose at the same time.

You have to keep putting the person with the repair workshop on cleaning the outside until its complete.

I have two adults, who are working, one a Paralegal the other one is a QA Engineer. I have been playing this game a couple of weeks? the only money they have is 519.86, which seems to be their bonuses, but their not receiving their salaries? Anyone else having this problem?

Nope, one family at a time. Once one of the parents dies, you should have the option on the Family screen to choose a New Generation (Next Generation ... button says one or the other, don't remember which). That lets you pick one of the kids to become the new Head of Household.

They should automatically receive their salaries ... 1/24th of it every hour.

Have you put them to work yet ... dropped them in front of a computer in the office and have them "working on career" successfully for an entire work cycle? Once they are working, praise them so they'll do it again on their own. The cycle takes a few minutes, so let them work without other interruptions until they finish and do something else.

Do you pause the game when you close it?

The fire extinguishers are in the shed. You have to get the door knob from the sandbox and the key from under the mat. There is a walkthrough available if you google Virtual Families.

I am so bad at this game.

you can also get money by selling off the collector items you get that are duplicates of the ones you already have. Keep an eye out constantly, as I find 2 or 3 at a time in the yard, and quickly put the little people on them. As soon as they bring them in the house, you can pick them up and go get the next one, it seems to automatically sell them online and gives you the funds.

Am I doing something wrong with this game? I've found the only way to play it is NOT to play it. The ppl will get promotions, sleep, eat and earn more money if I turn it off for a few hours than in any length of time I actually play it for??? The only difference is that they can't make babies, open emails and collect items without my help.
I loved VV and was hoping this would be similar. I took one of my ppl around the garden hoping there would be a secret hideaway or something. Am finding this game a bit boring and wishing that I didn't buy it - gutted!!

Did you read any of the above posts before posting? Show them the sink so they wave at you, then drop them on the toolbox on the back wall of the workshop so they get the wrench they need to fix it.

No problem, hope it helps. OK, I thought maybe if you were pausing that might be why no earnings.

Still trying to figure this out. Not like villagers-doing the sensible thing never seems to work. I have a clogged shower? Nothing in the shed and though I drop him on the shed, then on the shower over and over. Nothing. Any help, please?
