Sherrif's Office

Okay, I am new at this game & have gotten to the sherrif's office. Have all items except the key & last file. I realise that the broom in the drawer is the answer, but for the life of me I cannot get it to reveal anything. I have swept the area clean & clicked away madly. I think that I should find the key, which opens the safe that holds the file , but how!!!

Use the broom to sweep under the desk, then the key appears. Maybe like me, you did it and just didn't see the key. Try again, then use the key on the safe for the last file.
