MAC problem - hints not visible

Hi,

does anyone else have the same problem?
BF recommended to download and re-install the game, but it doesn't help.
When I click for a hint, it doesn't show on the screen although the number of cigars decreases.

There are quite a few items I can't find without a hint, so what can I do?

I am having the same problem with the cigars. I did not even know what was supposed to happen when you clicked them until I looked at the forum. Sorry I do not know how to help, but you are not alone.

Same here..... what is an ash knot?
