Here is what our reviewer thought of Hidden Expedition - Devil's Triangle . Post your own thoughts about the game in this thread and join the conversation!
Comments:
Hidden Expedition – Devil’s Triangle, the newest chapter in the Hidden Expedition series, is a treat for the hidden objects fan, and is chock full of puzzles to solve in between. An experimental submarine is yours to command as you head into the mysterious Bermuda Triangle on a top secret mission to rescue a missing pilot. They got pretty creative with the hidden object scenes this time, working in quite a few plays on words to add a challenge and make things more interesting. The objects themselves make sense as to where they are located in each scene, and the scenes are varied as well…everything from an actual location such as a dock to finding things on a corkboard. The puzzles also vary widely, from number games to repairing pieces of equipment, but are skippable by using a hint. The graphics are great and the characters and story are pretty well fleshed out, making Hidden Expedition – Devil’s Triangle a fun experience for those who wish to play!
Game Modes:
Hidden Expedition – Devil’s Triangle is only playable in untimed mode.
Depth:
This is a medium length game that should take most players about 3-6 hours to complete.
Similar to:
This game is similar to the previous Hidden Expedition games and the Curse of the Pharaoh series.
Difficulty level:
Hidden Expedition – Devil’s Triangle is a challenging game for most players, but not too difficult for the beginner.

Love this game, the puzzles are not too hard, but not too easy either. This is a must have game for me = )

So far so good !!
Guess I'll just "have" to buy it to see what's next. LOL
Really like it so far.
Only negative is that when you finish something you don't know that you are finished unless you hit "hint" and then the radar scope closes or whatever.
Enjoy everyone !

I bought it for my wife, I know she'll love it. Hidden object with loads of puzzles are what she loves. I've played half the demo when I decided to get it. The download is incredibly slow though, we're on a 20Mb broadband but it's going to take ove two hours at this rate. I can get the same size download from Shockwave in a couple of minutes. Come on BigFish, speed things up.

Well, it's 5 months late, but it's finally here. I just played the demo. I didn't skip anything or use any hints. My cursor acted a tad weird at first. In one scene I was done with something and the cursor would not change from a hand to an arrow. I had to leave the scene and return to get my arrow back. Is there supposed to be voice acting? The woman said a couple words, but that's about it in my 1 hour.
I would need to play more, but so far I like Amazon the best of all the HE games. I can't seem to get interested enough with this story as I did Amazon. So far, the puzzles/mini games have been more mechanical work and not "gameish" (is that a word?). I can't figure out how to explain it right now... too tired. Graphics were Ok, but they are sometimes better in the bought game then the demo. It doesn't look like it's going to be as long a game as Amazon either.
I'm sure I will buy it, but I'm not in a hurry right now.
I noticed there will be another CROWBAR involved.

I downloaded the demo, and then the full game. I have played all the other HE games and with each one (at least for me) they get better and better.
No timer is nice, since I am one of those people who doesn't do well when I know there is a count down, even if I have all the time in the world to complete something.
The graphics are great and the storyline is solid (so far).
Thank you BFG for another great (and affordable) game!

My complaint is it's not a 60 minute demo! It has a cut-off point which I hit at 30 minutes...shame on you!
I also found it a tad corny, the pirate looked like "Worf" from Star Trek, roflmbo
Not enough to make me buy it!

Nomatt,
Do you have a cable modem? Have you tried resetting your modem? Once you reset it, reboot the computer and see if that speeds things up. That's what my ISP tells me to do when my connection slows down. It really helps. If that doesn't help, call your cable company and see if they can reset it from their end.
To all
My newer computer is on the blink. I had problems with it and am trying to reinstall XP. Last night one of the switches broke so I can't even turn it on!!! UGH!!! I have to take it to the shop and have it fixed. There are so many game I want to try and then buy if I like them. . The computer I am on now is MUCH slower!!! It can't handle the games that are coming out now. I am soooo bummed, but I'll get through this!! lol
Have a great Friday everyone!!

Happy gaming !
Isn't this a BFG-produced game? I am looking forward to BFG posting a detailed description of the game here like they do with other games.

Apparently there's no window mode option. This means that I won't be able to even start playing it today most likely, and of course it looks just a bit stretched on my wide screen monitor.
Why in the world no window mode option, at least for those with wide screens? I don't care if the window takes the full height of the screen, but I need it IN a window so that I can minimize if I need to, and so that my screen doesn't go wonky when I get IM, email, or twitter notifications popping up.

Hi Lordkalvan,
The game does have a windowed mode, have you looked on the options menu? If you click on "fullscreen" it should go to windowed mode. It's a bit tricky, you have to click on it when the work "fullscreen" is highlighted. Let me know if this helps.
