HOW DO I GET ONE IF MY MALE VILLAGERS TO FATHER?

Place him on top of an adult female, or her on top of him. It might not work first time. Good luck!

In order for the male to be successful in breeding, you need to put him on top of a female. Watch out though, once he gets the hang of it, then he will start to "breed" with all your females and take them away from their jobs. After you get a few babies, uncheck the box next to parenting, and put him on something else for a while. When the kids are about 7 feel free to put him back at the fathering thing. Just keep an eye on him.

When I have my first success I usually use the same guy everytime, checking and unchecking his task. Then he is building points in Parenting (as is the woman) I look for those not much good at anything else, loafers, maybe a builder who just wants to goof off and not stick to a job. Then, later when he reaches 50 you can help him get a masters in parenting by just kissing all the old women. May be in VV3 they can also tell stories to children for points. I've had several parenting masters, sometimes a female who that's all she does, birth babies, and they are pretty quick at it.

Depending on where you are, they aren't going to make babies unless you have an adequate food supply and a cabin for more population. I think it is the small cabin just below the science table that is quick to build and when complete it rewards you with higher population capacity. Keep the kids busy with mushrooms for food, and collectibles for tech points. The repeat ones are big big points, 100, 250,500, some 1500 tech points.
