Mastering 3 skills for totem pole

Just curious if there is a really fast way to train someone on 3 things. I usually try to have one person in each area to work on, so that way there is a little bit of everything going at once. Then when one thing is mastered, all the way, then I move them onto something else. It seems that when they hit the adept stage they slow their improvements way down. Is there a way to quicken this up?

I pretty much pile them all on one task like tech table to start building up points to buy a higher level, and the higher some get to masters I leave them at that (master techs make higher points per hit) I try to use just one to work on food supply with any kids I have for mushrooms and keep an eye on food count, try to keep it around 200 and if it's getting low take a tech trainee off and put them on foraging awhile then back to tech.

Of course, some love their jobs, some balk, so I don't argue much with them. You'll have a master farmer in no time if that's all he/she does. Usually one will immediately go for building early on. I pretty much use them all for whatever the next project is, like when enough tech to buy more farming then move a bunch over there but never never go without of them at tech points.

I enjoy watching and keeping them at their fav task, and use a strategy guide as what to work toward next. I've only had a couple times when an Event wiped out all the food, so everyone on board in the garden til the count gets back to 200. But as each one is 14 I do take them around to each job to see what they like or rebel. You can move everyone over to build something, but the fewer you use the faster they will gain toward masters I think. Like if I know I will need a master builder next, get one started early. I play normal on fast speed.

That's just me, and the second time you play you have a better idea how to plan. After I get a master in something I try to put them on another task for second master and science seems to go faster since they aren't traveling around to do it.

Every game is different which makes it fun but the order in which to do projects doesn't change when you get the hang of it. If lucky you may get a "runner" who does everything twice as fast like a kid. One of those can build a cabin alone and master by 16 or 18. Then farming, was an Elder before 25!! I had one who seemed disabled, moved half as fast as normal, I kept her at tech to not walk much, then 18 just kept her pregnant most the time between tech.

Hope you are having as much fun with Lost Children, it's my favorite.
