What happens if you run out of time?

[Post New]by ClayMask on Dec 9, 15 5:18 AM
I've had the game ask me if I want to trade a life for more time. If I say no, and then run out of time, what happens? I'm guessing it would start me over at the beginning of the level?

You're correct, and you would also lose a life for timing out. In case you don't know, the tile counter near the upper left tells you how many tiles you have left - if there aren't many remaining when the timer warning message appears, it's worth it to "risk it" instead of trading a life.

Weird game glitch: If you happen to make the winning move right as the timer expires on any level, the timer gets additional numbers added to it and appears to be running in "negative time". The board will not end either, and you have to restart it.

There are a few levels in this game that own me where I typically have to buy time to beat them. I've only ever finished the entire game once without buying time as it is pretty aggressively timed throughout.

Go to relaxed mode - no timeouts or lives given up.
