Silly Mistake, Getting IN to Halloween Hill?

I got the scull from the first druid. But when I go back, the gate to HH is still closed. Do I need to buy garlic and a stake first (or many stakes)? Is there anything else I need to do get get in?

Something glitchy happened just after I got the druid unfrozen & received the skull. I think I'll try going back to an earlier save and trying again.

I'm thinking this is a bug. Anyone else run into it?

OK, I backed up to before we fought the demon to get the first druid's soul, and then went forward again.

Got the druid's soul, took it to the temple, druid gets thawed and presents us with the skull. Went directly to Halloween Hill, and still can't get in. Escorted the druid to the oracle and returned to Halloween Hill, and STILL no luck.

Is there some other action I need to do in order to get Halloween Hill to open? Did I blow it by going to HH first, instead of taking the druid directly to the oracle?

Am I going to have to give up and start over? Will starting over even help?

Do I need a patch? Could someone with access to the game maker's web site help me? I'd really prefer not to have to sign on to another site - I just joined Big Fish, and this is my first thread.

Can someone please help me?

Are you placing the skull in the spot next to the gate? Once I got the skull I had no problems getting in.
