Game worth 2.99

[Post New]by cll1950 on Nov 5, 09 4:16 PM
I wouldn't pay full price for it but I'll get at least 2.99 worth.
Instructions not too good. How many hint? Why does a magnifing glas in on scene turn into a hint and one in another didn;t?
O.K. for a quick play.

Game took forever to load on vista laptop, 7 min on high speed cable. Then when installed finished it said Trial Expired (??) I don't remember ever playing this, so DL on pc with xp, still loaded very slow, but gave me 60min to play.

Was a bit familiar, and didn't take long to recall why I rejected it before.THE TIMER. If that is a hangup with you too pass on this one. You don't know how many hints you have and many items need hints because they are (for me) totally unidentifiable. In fact, on replay after timing out I still can't find them. Got extra hint finding a mag glass, but as said, next scene the same item is not an added hint. Very confusing.

I would have thought by now there would have been a rebuild removing the timer, fixing hint system, and it has potential of being a nice straight HOG, nice looking scenes til you try to find items. I was on the fence whether $2.99 makes up for the frustration, or boredom replaying a scene over and over for a time killer.

Now that I demoed Return of MCristo for another $4 I can have a nice new HOG to play with, non-punitive. Took me an hour to do one chapter, and there are 7 (I guess I'm slow) so it will keep me occupied til another blockbuster or real bargain comes along.
My nerves are worth more than $2.99, and I want a game I can finish and know the end of the story.
I pass
