lift won't work!!!

I have fixed the lift and made the light and springy potion. I have had the chief drink it, a master scientist and an adept farmer. No one goes up. Am I putting them in the wrong place? I drop them on the opposite end of the water bucket on the lift. Any suggestions?

WooHoo I got it!!! The trick was to put someone on the lift at the START of the rain, not the end!! It's tricky cause you have to have someone with the potion in them already when it rains.

The lift behaves as a virtual lever.
I pause the game as soon as I see rain start ...put someone on the lft, make sure the words say "Standing on the lift". Unpause, watch the lift. When the fruit or seed drops, take a villager to the seed.
No potions needed, nothing to do with light and springy.
Mind you, it took me a while to figure out the lift :-)

Don't feel bad, I didn't even see the fruit on the ground to go get ( ditz) so I kept trying to do it again next rain. I think there were 3 of them too aren't there? Nice when the fruit trees do start to fruit. Then have to keep an eye on when they replenish unless a smart farmer notices on his own.
