I've finished this game and have two in progress. None of them give me access to the battlefield you mention. I only remember one comb but not sure if it's at the location in question. It lay flat against the base of a bridge. It was dark on dark and the only way I recognized it was that the "teeth" were vertical lines which were darker than the bridge. Sorry that's so vague but it's the only comb I can remember. Good Luck.

Hi. This is the first time I have posted, but I am having so many problems with my civil war. First of all, some of the hidden items are soooo small that I can't find them. I use up by 3 hints right away and then I can't get more hints because I cannot understand this canonball mini game. Can anyone help? Thanks. patykat

Good luck with the mini-game. I have given up! I can't do it. I went through the tutorial and that still did not help. The only way, I think, to learn is to be able to see your mistakes and their OOPS sign covers too much of the picture for anyone to see what they did wrong. Forgive me, this is a rehash of a prior post by me, but I am really ticked off at the makers of this game. The only good thing is that they changed this feature on the Buckingham Palace game! I really feel like I wasted my money on this game.

If they had different mini games to find clues it would help. I'll probably try the game once or twice more and then give up on it. Some of the items are impossible to see even after you've used the clue. Buckingham Palace was OK, but this one is trying too hard to be, well, hard. And can someone explain what a rubber chicken was doing in the Civil War? I'd like all HOGs a lot better if the items to find were consistant the the scene - or at least the time frame. I guess I'm asking too much. So back to the match 3 games...

I am also looking for the comb in Battle of Cold Harbor. Thought the person from Big Fish Games would come up with the answer.

I would like help finding a couple of items one item is in 1863 Battle of Chancellorsville the "mitt". The other item is in 1863 Battle of Chattanooga the third mushroom. Can anyone help me on these? Thanks.

Okay I found the last mushroom by the big rock on the bottom of the screen. I still can not find the "Mitt". I even tried using a magnifying glass.

This game has great looking graphics, but the items are too hidden--some are so small you can't really see them and others are not recognizable as what they are. This results in a lot of random clicking and using hints.

Then the hint game is so hard for me (and I see others too) that it is time consuming and frustrating to get them. I have never liked mine sweeper games and this one is the worst I have seen--there isn't even a way to clear tiles by clicking on the numbers like other mine sweeper games I have played.

Other than the hidden objects, this game has good graphics. The scenes look good and the story line is good.

I think this game is a waste of money & time I can't enjoy it like I do the others.

In another thread, a fishie said she got her husband to do the minesweeper game to get more hints. So I got my daughter to do it too. It's a shame, because it's a very interesting and beautiful game. But such a lot of hard work!
