AC - Murder On The Orient Express

[Post New]by scotcat on May 3, 08 11:48 AM
A review I saw.............

Gameplay: 7.0
Standard adventure treatment. The gameplay as a whole is adequately entertaining, but is short on length and short on challenge. However, as an interactive story it’s great! Fans of Agatha Christie will be pleased.

Graphics: 8.0
It all looks true to the time era, the 1930’s in Europe.

Sound: 6.0
Nothing special here.

Difficulty: Medium
There’s nothing very difficult, but a few of the puzzles aren’t obvious and will require some back-tracking.

Concept: 6.0
Nothing new here, but it is presented well.

Overall: 7.0
Murder on the Orient Express is a great presentation of a classic book. As an adventure game, though, it is a little lacking. Whether players will enjoy it or not will depend largely on the type of player.

I am just at the end of this play, but I can not find the last pieces. From the radio I get no answer anymore, Poirot says I should, and he says there is more evidence. I am stuck. Help me.

Got this game this weekend but I can't get the ruddy woman out of the market square, let alone onto the bloomin' train. How does she find the parasol. Did the goat eat it? I read the walkthrough but still can't get her any further.

Valerie, you need to feed the goat some grain, then he will walk away and the parasol was behind him

Now it's my turn to ask for help. I have walkthroughs (which I only use when really stuck) and I'm stuck in Compartment 7-8 with Greta and should be able to go to sleep. But nothing is happening! The walkthru says that it is automatic to go back and go asleep! Has anyone got any help for me?

Yes, please --- what is UHS ???
Also, I'm stuck in limbo here, P keeps telling me to keep searching the cabin that the murder occured in --- have done that 18 times and can't find what it is he wants. I've searched everywhere. Help please. Getting very frustrating.

UHS is the Universal Hint System (uhs.com). It's like a walkthrough that's been filed on index cards. You can go to exactly where you need help instead of scanning a lot of words looking for where you are in the game. This is especially helpful since there are many tasks that you can do in any order.

Hi carolmccarthy,

Because we do not allow the posting of website addresses in the forums, I had to remove the URL from your post. If you have any questions, please feel free to read over our forum FAQ's. There is a link to them on the right side of this page.

Thanks for coming to the forums!

Have you shown a tile to the two men to settle the argument?
Have you picked up the grain on the trolley to the left of one of the men?
