PETS -- Where do they come from?

[Post New]by Annelliegram on Jan 12, 16 9:35 PM
I have seen many people asking questions about where pets come from, or how to get a certain pet they saw displayed in someone’s private room. I have searched the Helpful Hints page and see nothing about WHERE the pets come from or how to get them, so I decided to make a list and post it.

First of all….what this thread DOES NOT contain:
***what type of food they eat
***how long they sleep
***best place to feed them
***type of chest they give

If you want to know the above information, please take a look at napoeon's thread that has been enhanced to include "all things relative to pets" in one handy location:

http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/404978.page

Original Pets – There are 19 original pets. Except for the Winged Cat, they ALL have eggs. But, they all do have to be crafted. Look in the Laboratory under the paw (over the left column) to see what each requires for crafting.

You can get the original eggs from the Fortune Wheel or gifts from friends. There are SOME that are in the achievements. (If an egg can be received from the achievements, it is so noted. If there is nothing next to the egg, then it is only by way of gift or Fortune Wheel.)

I forgot about the ODD EGG ---- this is a pet egg that sometimes presents on the Fortune Wheel....

It can be sold or disenchanted or gifted, but it can never be crafted.

So, it isn't really a pet, per se......although it is a pet EGG. --- or, at least, we THINK it is......

Thanks for that info Annelliegram.

Have been wondering where these new pets came from, or how we got hold of them.

Good one, Rose!!!!

By the way -- most of the pet names are quite descriptive. Then there is Champion....he is the ginger cat with the medal around his neck. (Just in case someone was wondering)

This is also a great guide for us pet collectors. Level 38 and only been playing about 9 months and I have them all but the champion, woodpecker, moose and elephant and I see the elephant is a matter of time. Yay! I assume the champion is the ginger cat, right?

Looks like you may be updating this list soon as on their FB they teased about a sea dragon pet in the new update and there was also a picture of another critter (not sure what it is) but they didn't say if that's another pet or not. The sea dragon is adorable as all get out. Must have.

Of course, I must have all the pets, cute or not as I've become somewhat obsessed with getting them all. Though the ginger cat and woodpecker are looking elusive (never get eggs on the wheel and rarely get them when they are). I do occassionally get double sixes at the game table so perhaps I'll eventually get the moose.

oldgirl10 just posted a very valid question about the Winged Cat.....she asked from whence comes the egg......

Well, there isn't one and I have also edited my original post to include that information. Thanks oldgirl10 for posing a question that supplies additional info to this thread.

Hey dogpenny, you can not give pet medallions as a gift, .....(or disenchant... you can sell them at 5 coins each, or use them to craft food and pets, and that's it... )

Debora, I thought that, too. But I kept playing the freebies. I only spun the wheel if I had at least 9 chips. And eventually, I got that difficult kitty. I named her "Maxie". Persistence is pretty much the key to that one. Keep at it and you will get it, too.

Have fun stormin' the castle!

The locked tournament icon says "coming soon" so the tournaments WILL be back.

Once you get the hang of playing, you get used to the hiding places of items in the tourney rooms and can get faster. Many players have Champion. Hang in there.

Christmas
Christmas Turkey (2017)
Friendly Fox (2017)
Red Cardinal (2017)

How do you get the pieces needed to craft these pets? The Bird's trill, the turkey feather and the fox tail? I simply can't find them.

Hi BWBee and Welcome to the Forum,

Those items come from the three HOS in Christmas Room 2 in the private room tab which is on the top left of the pull out which includes your friends and the CC. You can play your room and each of your friend's rooms once a day.
